Happy New Year in 2013

Well the world did not end in 2012 (not that I expected it to) and so I am wishing you a very happy New Year for 2013!  If we don't fall off a fiscal cliff and if milk does not hit $8.00 per gallon, it will probably be business as usual.  For all of you readers who did not get a great deal on my novels last year, they are still priced way below the market at $2.99 per copy.  You can get all of my novels, including the latest at Amazon or Barnes.  Log on to Amazon or Barnes and download your copies now.  These prices are for books in Kindle format and Nook format only which can be read on your smart device or computer by installing the appropriate application (free).
While you are at it, check out my new children's story book, 24 pages with lovely illustrations by Candace Curry.  It is only available at Amazon, click HERE.
So don't wait!  Complete your library of SQ Eads books or "gift" them to friends and family in 2013.

Murder by the Book

Murder by the Book , my newest title, is now available at the usual locations including Amazon and Barnes.  As mentioned in the Author's Note at the end of the book, I did not think I was ever going to get this one finished.  Nevertheless, the grace of God saw me through many difficulties and I hope that you will enjoy my newest submission.  Happy reading!

The story:

Anne Marshall has it all. She owns a successful business in her hometown doing work she loves. She's happy and active in her church and community. Wonderful friends fill her days and evenings with laughter and joy. Life is great. There's just one thing missing...that special man. Then Reid Derringer comes to town. He's handsome, athletic and intelligent, and a staunch atheist. He's a stranger with more secrets than the CIA. Why has he come to Roulette, LA? What is his connection to the recent murders and what is he doing sleeping in coffins? Murder by the Book is a novel full of laughter, fun and romance. It is sprinkled with a little bit of mystery that will keep you reading to the very end.

4th of July in Bisbee, Arizona

Are you spending the fourth in Bisbee?  You can do it at any time by reading a copy of Arizona Redemption.  We had an unadvertised giveaway of Arizona Redemption (Kindle version) on the fourth of July for one day only.  The results ware fantastic. We gave away nearly 6,000 copies or 250 copies per hour!
I hope the lucky readers will enjoy their sojourn in Bisbee and that one day they may enjoy a personal visit to this remarkable town, my hometown, nestled in the Mule Mountains of southern Arizona.
More importantly, I pray that the message of the story touches the hearts of my readers in such a way that the lives of unborn children will be valued much more than they are today.  I pray that greater protection may be afforded to the unborn and that many readers who have opted to terminate a pregnancy will know the grace and forgiveness of God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Arizona Aussie

I grabbed another S.Q. Eads' book to read after work yesterday afternoon -- Arizona Aussie.
Dr. Randee Lambert is a veterinarian from Australia, but she's on sabbatical from her profession to model western wear while trick riding and preforming stunts. Her next job is on a ranch in Arizona
Scott Harrison, owner of that ranch, is recovering from injuries he received from the last air-headed female that set foot on his ranch. There's no way he's going to allow another one anywhere near his place.
So why is there a beautiful blond in the pen with his prize Brahma bull? And why, exactly, is his prize Brahma bull sporting an injured leg?

When Aussie vet meets Arizona rancher it's the beginning of World War III, and this time the two countries are not allies.
This is such a fun, happy story, and I found myself laughing out loud in several places. It also made me think about the verse from Proverbs..."as iron sharpeneth iron..." Randee and Scott need some rough edges knocked of their personalities, and like iron striking iron, sparks fly every time they come in contact with each other.
I really appreciate how this writer makes faith and Christian principles a natural, integral part of her stories and her characters' lives. It doesn't feel forced or added at the last minute to help the story qualify as "inspirational" romance.
Need a fun, Christian romance to read? Check out Arizona Aussie. It'll make you smile; maybe even laugh out loud!

When Love is wRight

I have read through a bunch of shorter-length e-books from Amazon lately, taking advantage of the inexpensive or even free e-books offered. It's a good way to find new authors and have something quick to read when time is short.

And this week I found a little gem. When Love is wRight by SQ Eads.

The story has elements that I love; a spunky, independent heroine and a pure, 100% alpha-male hero. The story opens with a comedy of errors where the heroine proposes to the hero. She's not serious. He is. And the fight...er, chase...is on.
The story is not all that long, in paperback only 298 pages, but the characters are well-fleshed out, including some very interesting secondary characters, and the scenery in the book is drawn so well I could see it in my head very vividly. By the end of the book, the location reminded me of the old John Wayne movie Hatari!, which I love.
If you're looking for a fun, delightful romance, look no further than When Love is wRight. The paperback is under $10, and the Kindle version is under $5 right now. As for me, I'm off to check into more SQ Eads reads.
Happy reading!
